I was born in the spiritual Himalayan country of Nepal. Yoga has always been a part of my life, and its practice and teaching has been my long-time hobby. Inspired by Yoga, I always been careful and selective in dietary matters and discerning in what I eat and drink. I started my coffee journey as a Barista and over time, became a Coffee Meister and Roaster. After tasting a variety of coffee from different countries, I decided to promote Coffee beans from Nepal, grown in the foothills of the Himalayan mountains. I was truly impressed by the farming process used to grow and process the coffee there, as no chemicals or artificial fertilizers were used at all. I was also impressed by the unique and aromatic taste of the coffee, the taste of Nepal, derived from the rich soil and pristine environment of the Himalayan mountains. This is the reason I decided to introduce Nepalese coffee to Japan.
Asked if they had ever tried Nepalese coffee, people would shockingly respond: “Nepal grows coffee beans?” This made me even more interested in researching the possibilities of Nepalese coffee beans. After two year of research, including organizing tasting events and presenting beans to friends, shops and roasters, I became convinced and confident that people would love the taste of the Himalayas.
